Denise Austin's positive energy combined with fun and easy dance moves are a great combination to get beginners excited to workout.

Denise Austin’s "Burn Fat Fast Cardio Dance and Sculpt" is an easy to follow, low impact exercise routine that is great for beginners or those getting back into exercising.

Denise Austin

Denise Austin has created a total of 82 exercise videos, with sales reaching 20 million. Fans have been able to find her on her two television shows in the past: Denise Austin’s Daily Workout and Fit & Lite. She has also shared her exercise and nutrition philosophy with the world in two healthy lifestyle books. Denise is also a consultant to the President's Counsel on Physical Fitness and Sports.

Burn Fat Fast

The Burn Fat Fast DVD is a beginner workout which includes

  • 5 minute warm up
  • 19 minutes of cardio dance
  • 20 minutes of sculpting
  • 5 minute cool down

Customizable

The DVD can be customized to create the following workouts

  • Warm up + cardio + cool down
  • Warm up + strength + cool down
  • Warm up + cardio + strength + cool down

Warm up

The warm up is easy to follow and all moves are "no impact". It is Denise with two other exercisers, all doing the same movements which include

  • Marching
  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Stretches for the entire body

All of the lower body moves incorporate simple upper body movements as well.

Cardio Segment

The cardio portion of the workout involves little to no impact moves, done by Denise and four other exercisers. All complete the same movements with no modifications. The cardio dance routine is easy to follow with very basic dance type moves. There is a lot of twisting, shaking and easy dance moves to keep the novice exerciser interested.

Strength Workout

The strength routine uses hand held dumbbells with slow, controlled easy to follow exercises. Denise and two exercisers complete the routine with no modifications. Beginners may want to do the routine without weights the first time through, to get used to the movements first without added weight.

Denise hits all the major muscle groups with one set of each exercise. She gives adequate cueing with most movements, explaining which muscles are being worked and how to move the body.

Cool Down

The cool down segment is just Denise, working through stretching moves for each of the muscle groups worked in the cardio and strength segments:

  • Legs
  • Chest
  • Back and low back
  • Shoulders
  • Biceps and triceps

Good For Beginners

Denise makes a great beginner workout. Her enthusiasm for exercise will help the beginner get through a new program. Her moves are very basic and easy to follow for anyone. The dance steps will be fun and distracting for those that have a challenge completing a workout.
