New-day Resolutions

The new-day resolution allows us to continue our pursuit of health, happiness and success each new day, no matter what has happened yesterday. Change your mindset accepting each new day as an opportunity for growth, enlightenment and success on your journey to self-fulfillment.

Learn how to initiate the changes necessary to succeed in life. You can accomplish all your heart felt desires. Find out how!

As another year comes to an end, this is a good time to sit down and reflect upon the goals, dreams and desires achieved and abandoned in 2006. Most people choose the new-year as a springboard to initiate changes for the coming year. While some were attained many were not, so as you look back on 2006 and those goals achieved, determine what it was that fueled your ability to succeed and use that formula as a blueprint for your successes this year. We should build on each preceding achievement.

Which brings me to the purpose for mentioning last year, based on current statistics, there are quite a few of us that abandoned our fitness goal in 2006. With 2006 a modest memory, we can look ahead to the new year with all it’s promise for prosperity and proliferation and set some goals. New years resolutions, maybe!! Now don’t get me wrong while new years resolutions are good they are not always sustained, so I’m proposing a new-day resolution instead. What is a new-day resolution you ask, it’s the opportunity to initiate aspirations each new day, an opportunity to begin or nourish our dreams, goals and desires. There will be times in our life when we get side-tracked, overwhelmed or disenchanted. The new-day give us a chance to regroup and initiate a come back. No need to wait for a new year, next month or next week (procrastinate), each day is a new beginning.

I’m proposing for the new year that you keep in mind, you can begin your fitness regimen again and again and again if need be. Just don’t let too many new-days pass, for this defeats the purpose of achieving goals, dreams and desires. If you fall off the horse get back on it. Refer to my article “Beginning A Fitness Routine” for tips on getting started. The New Year is a good time to jump-start any new endeavor, but not the only time!

Thanks to everyone for checking in each week, I hope I was able to inform, inspire and motivate. Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous new year, see you next week.

“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it’s when you had everything to do, and you've done it.” -Margaret Thatcher-
