Endomorphs have the slowest metabolism of all the body types, and this makes losing weight very difficult. With proper training, however, fat-loss can be accomplished.
Endomorphs are often ridiculed because they are overweight, and sometimes they are labeled as lazy. In fact, many endomorphs work harder to lose weight than other body types. Many endomorphs don't go to gyms because they want to avoid fit people. They see ectomorphs eating the same foods without gaining weight and have given up on working out because they don't see results. The important lesson to learn is that, if done properly, exercise and diet can make endomorphs extraordinarily beautiful. Endomorph DietEndomorphs are much more efficient at storing the calories they eat, and in today's world of fast-food that means they have to watch what they eat. The key is to not (necessarily) limit the amount of calories taken in, but rather to moderate the composition of foods eaten. It is, for example, much easier to consume 2,000 calories in refined sugar than it is to ingest the same caloric value in protein. Eating 2,000 calories of protein will also have a much healthier physiological effect than sugar will. In general, when the diet is fully-nutritional, the body is left full. By cutting the bulk of carbohydrates from a person's diet, by limiting sugar and fat intake, the body will begin to process nutrients differently. Skipping meals will cause the body to metabolize at a slower rate, and it will respond to being starved by storing every calorie it can. The endomorph should consume five to six smaller meals, rich in protein and fiber (low in non-fiber carbohydrates and fat), everyday. Fibers cannot be processed by the body, they help in clearing the digestive system out, and they are therefore a valuable food-source for endomorphs. The rigorous exercise routine required for endomorphs to lose fat demands a high protein intake - the good news is that consuming protein has appetite-suppressant effects. Fat-free foods should be avoided by the endomorph unless the food in question has been researched. Often times marketers will supplement the removed fat in a product by drastically increasing its carbohydrates, and well-intentioned endomorphs may eat more thinking that they are being good. Endomorphs, everybody for that matter, should drink plenty of water. If a person doesn't drink enough water, the body will store it in the form of water-weight. Water-weight can make even the most defined people look fat. B-vitamins help the body metabolize at optimum levels, and supplementation of them may be helpful. B-vitamins require folate, folic acid, to be process most effectively. They are water-soluble, and taking one B-vitamin every 12 hours can help ensure that the body has a ready supply to call on. Endomorph ExercisesIf possible, it is recommended that endomorphs utilize both cardiovascular exercise and weight training. Cardiovascular exercise has a less dramatic effect on fat-loss than training with heavy weights, and should therefore be performed after resistance training; this way, muscle can be built which will continually burn fat and cardiovascular exercise can be used to rid the body of extra calories. Endomorphs are generally stronger than their ectomorph counterparts, and lifting heavy weights will help in developing the large muscles that already exist underneath the fat. Compound exercises which bring many muscle groups into play, as well as circuit training, will release the body of extra fat storages faster. Other Endomorph ConsiderationsEndomorphs may have unhealthy cholesterol levels and should always consult a professional before beginning a workout regimen. While they have the muscle to carry heavy loads, the best medical advise (depending on the individual) may be to start with lighter weights or cardiovascular routines. The bone structure of endomorphs is often much larger, and this cannot be changed. Even so there are many famous endomorphs, such as Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, who have used this to their advantage. With the right training everybody can be beautiful.
