I recently read “LL Cool J’s Platinum Workout.” If you’re looking for some motivational ideas and maybe some guidance on putting together a workout format, this book can offer some interesting variations. The book contains a nice collection of antidotes, training tips and nutritional ideas all utilized by LL himself.
It is important to keep in mind that each person is different and thus their bodies will respond differently to specific workout regimes. If you do read the book you will see that LL actually did something that is required to be successful with any endeavor, he made a commitment, but his commitment to his program was colossal. Getting up at 4 a.m. to train, running in the dessert sun, completely altering his nutritional habits, these are the steps necessary to change ones body. The degree to which you commit will determine how long it will take and far you get.
As mentioned earlier each person being different and will have different goals for themselves, but the bottom line is this - you will have to make some concessions to your current program (do you actually have a program right now) if you are to get anywhere near the level of success LL reached with his program. LL wanted pronounced, momentous, recognizable changes to his body and he was willing to pay the price to get there.
All in all “LL Cool J’s Platinum Workout” makes for some interesting reading and is filled with lots of tips you can use to enhance your present workout or maybe begin a regimen. Either way this book can be a good reference to use along with all the wonderful information available here at http://fitness.suite101.com.
